Peanut lovers can never seem to have enough. This is your recipe whose end product, the peanut butter cake, will melt in your mouth and leave you yearning for more.
The ingredients
- 230 gm butter (1 cup)
- 180 gm sugar (brown)
- 100gm sugar (caster)
- 250 gm peanut butter (smooth)
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 315 gm baking flour
- 240 ml milk (1 cup)
The preparation phase
1. Dust your baking pan
2. In bowl 1, sift your baking flour and baking powder. Set aside.
3. Take bowl 2, place the brown and caster sugars. Add the butter. Cream this mixture thoroughly.
4. Now add the peanut butter and mix.
5. Add the eggs, one at a time, alternating with a tbsp. of flour.
6. Pour a little milk, alternating with the flour until you use up all the milk.
7. Now fold in the remaining baking flour and add the vanilla essence.
8. Bake in your pre-heated oven, gas mark 4 or 180°C for 30-40 minutes.
You can tell your cake is ready, if you insert a toothpick and it comes out clean. Let it cool in the baking pan for 5 minutes before turning it over on a wire rack to complete the cooling process.
